0.3.24 7 October 2026
- “My Outlook calendar” reads this week’s events from the Outlook app, and Calendar says which days and calendars it checked.
- Date pickers on train and travel sites work: every day is named with its date, so Linda picks the right one.
- Linda stops when a website keeps leading back to the same page, instead of trying the same step again and again.
0.3.23 7 October 2026
- Calendar and Reminders work again: macOS asks once for access, instead of Linda saying access is blocked.
- “My Outlook calendar” reads the Outlook app on your Mac first, with Mac Apps on.
0.3.22 6 October 2026
- Links in Linda’s answers show the pointing hand, so you can see a source is clickable.
0.3.21 6 October 2026
- Linda checks “done” against what the task did: when the request names an app it never used, or asks for a file it never made, it goes back to do it, or tells you plainly what isn’t done.
- Linda keeps the files its assistant saves to answer faster small, so they no longer fill your disk.
- No detailed logs on your Mac: they are only for building Linda.
0.3.20 6 October 2026
- Code reviews read the code: Linda copies the pull request into its own workspace (you approve once), reads the changes and the files around them, and reviews those, not the pull request's page.
- A review shows only the review as its result, not every file of the copied project.
0.3.19 6 October 2026
- A Code reviewer specialist: reviews a project, your files or a GitHub pull request, most serious problems first, with file and line, and checks code for security problems.
- New skills: an evidence brief that keeps facts apart from guesses, a spreadsheet check, status updates and newsletters, a decision check, and turning a chore into a routine.
- Connect an app right from the chat: when a task needs GitHub, Notion or another app, a card lets you sign in or paste a key. Linda never sees it.
- Sign in to GitHub with your GitHub account, no token needed.
- When Linda needs a link or a name only you know, it asks with a field to type in, and the task waits for you.
0.3.18 6 October 2026
- The live view shows the page as soon as it loads and keeps it current while Linda thinks, and shows the app window when Linda works in an app.
- The Computer column opens when you ask: click the screen card in the chat or its Details button.
- “In Numbers, make a table” works: Linda makes the spreadsheet and opens it in Numbers in the background.
- Linda gets past Numbers, Pages and Keynote’s file window without reading your file names.
0.3.17 6 October 2026
- The microphone in the Option+Space bar now dictates like the one in a chat: click, speak, see the words appear, click again to stop. Esc cancels.
0.3.16 5 October 2026
- Updating from inside Linda no longer freezes the window: the download shows its progress, checking and installing run in the background, and every step has a time limit.
- An update works even when you already opened the same disk image yourself.
0.3.15 5 October 2026
- Linda drives Calculator, TextEdit, Numbers and Outlook reliably: element names match what the checks expect, keys work however they're written, small app windows are found, and a refusal no longer resets the connection.
- Invoices download again: a click on an unchanged page is no longer refused as a changed page.
- A new built-in skill for using apps on your Mac, from what worked in real tests.
- Assistants chosen from real tests: DeepSeek V4.1 Flash is the cheapest suggestion that passed every task; GLM-4.7 Flash is removed; 32 GB Macs get gpt-oss 20B.
- A task that only promises to act, or repeats itself, ends as unfinished instead of done.
0.3.14 5 October 2026
- Permissions in the Computer column are a menu that says what the task can use, with a switch for each.
- One Work with button in the message bar: who does the task, its project, apps and skill.
- Specialist roles to start from (Researcher, Writer, Bookkeeper, Organizer, Travel planner, Builder), each with its own skills; New Project… right from the specialist sheet.
- Stay in touch: Linda's news by email at the end of setup and in Settings › About, with no account; hello@getlinda.app from the app.
- Optional usage counts to help improve Linda: off until you turn them on, never what you ask, read or make.
- A web page a task made has Reload, and reloads by itself when the task changes it.
0.3.13 5 October 2026
- Specialists: Linda set up for one kind of work, with a name, a role, your instructions, a color, its skills, a project to start in and what it may use (Browser, Files, Commands, Memory). Start from Researcher, Writer, Bookkeeper, Organizer, Travel planner or Builder.
- One Work with button in the message bar: who works on the task, the project, the apps it may use and a skill to follow.
- Web search through Parallel by default, no key needed; Brave, Tavily or Exa with your key; DuckDuckGo as a choice and the fallback. Only the search words, a short line from your request and a random id leave your Mac.
- The Computer column: Browser, Files, Commands and Activity, with Running, Take Over and a “Can use …” menu.
- An activity log for every task: who did what, where and when. Typed text is never kept.
- Safer clicks: a step aimed at a page that changed since Linda looked is refused, and Take Over pauses every action until you hand back.
- A chat header with the specialist and its status, steps that say what they did (“Saved invoices.pdf · 2.1 KB”), a browser card with Live, and approvals that stay in the chat after you decide.
- Reload for a web page a task made.
- Current assistants online: Claude Sonnet 5.5 by default, GPT-6.1 Sol, Gemini 3.1 Pro, GPT-6 Luna and Qwen3.8 Flash; Qwen3.5 9B suggested for Ollama, LM Studio and mlx-lm.
- Memory moves to Settings.
0.3.12 4 October 2026
- Results are saved in the task's own folder unless you name one; a project's folder changes only when you ask.
- Renamed files keep their type, and a note saved without one is a Markdown file.
- Downloaded invoices keep the names the site gives unless you ask for others.
- Linda never reports a file as saved when nothing saved it, and a reply cut off halfway is tried again instead of ending the task.
- Forms and replies in a webmail work with assistants on your Mac.
0.3.11 4 October 2026
- Assistants on your Mac write in the language of your request, even when your Mac's region is another country.
- A saved web page isn't opened or served again to check it: it is already in the preview, so tasks finish sooner.
- Qwen3.5 9B starts even before its speed-up add-on is downloaded.
- Clearer notes on which assistant suits what.
0.3.10 4 October 2026
- Building a web page with an assistant on your Mac finishes with the page saved: a reply cut off halfway is tried again in smaller files instead of ending the task.
- "A landing page for my bakery" builds the page right away in plain HTML, with sample details to replace and a map of the address.
- Linda answers and writes in the language you used, whatever your Mac's region.
0.3.9 4 October 2026
- The Linda extension is in the Chrome Web Store: Settings › Browser and setup open it, so adding Linda to your Chrome is one click on Add to Chrome.
- Linda is now your private AI coworker for the Mac.
0.3.8 3 October 2026
- A task that is working shows a small spinner and a pulsing green dot in the sidebar.
0.3.7 3 October 2026
- Tasks, projects, routines and memory are kept in one fast database on your Mac: a running task saves only what changed, so long histories stay quick.
- Memory on your Mac is searched with Apple's Accelerate.
- Tasks and projects from earlier versions don't carry over: Linda starts with an empty list. Settings and downloaded assistants stay.
0.3.6 3 October 2026
- Asking for the same thing again does the work again, in a new folder, instead of repeating the last answer.
- Tasks are grouped by day: Today, Yesterday, Previous 7 Days, Previous 30 Days, Older.
- Pin, Rename, Archive, Export Markdown or JSON from a task's right-click menu.
- Deleting a task asks first and says which of its files go with it.
- Linda never says it bought, booked, sent or posted something unless that step really ran and you approved it.
- Faster everywhere: Settings opens and changes at once, typing stays smooth in long chats, and less work runs while Linda is in the background.
- Hover a message to see when it was said, copy it, edit and send it again, or try the request again.
0.3.5 2 October 2026
- Code in answers shows in a card with its language, colors and a Copy button.
- The side panel shows how busy your Mac is (memory, graphics, processor) and lets you free the assistant's memory.
- Long documents are read in parts or by the words you care about, instead of only their start.
- Assistants on this Mac finish more tasks: fewer wasted replies, and a final answer with what was found instead of stopping.
- A long reply is no longer cut by the idle timer, and running out of memory says what to do.
- Repeated steps of one kind show as one line, and only one Linda runs at a time.
0.3.4 2 October 2026
- Scripts can save to ~/Shared/Task/… from any program, so charts, tables and slides they make land in the task's folder.
- New Task is first in the sidebar, with a compose icon and a + beside Tasks.
- The side panel shows the task's folder right after its progress.
- Ministral 3 and Devstral read and use Linda's tools.
- Scrolling up in a long chat stays where you put it; a round arrow jumps back to the latest when there's more below.
0.3.3 2 October 2026
- The working line stays under the assistant's words while a task runs, so long steps always show what is happening and for how long.
- A reply that only says what the assistant will do next is no longer taken as the answer: it does the step first.
- Scripts are written and run in one step, so their results get made.
0.3.2 2 October 2026
- Files land in the task's folder however the assistant writes the path, so tasks no longer stop on “Only files in ~/Shared can be changed”.
- Your Chrome stays connected to Linda after updates.
- Settings › Assistant always shows Linda's current recommendations, in its order, even with a list from an older version.
0.3.1 2 October 2026
- New small assistants that use Linda's tools well: Granite 4.2 3B and Qwen3 4B Instruct, which also tidies what you dictate. Gemma 4 E4B is no longer suggested.
- PowerPoint and Excel files are made without LibreOffice.
- When a small assistant invents a tool, or writes a tool call as text, it is told and tries again instead of ending the task.
- A step that fails tells the assistant why, so it tries something else.
0.3.0 2 October 2026
- Assistants on your Mac now run on MLX, Apple's machine-learning framework for Apple silicon: about 60 tokens a second for a 4B assistant on an M2 Pro. Linda installs its MLX engine privately the first time you download an assistant (about 0.5 GB, once); nothing touches your own Python or Homebrew.
- New tasks start in about half a second instead of 14: what the assistant has read is kept and reused.
- Quick browser decisions with Laya, inside Linda: about 50 ms a decision. It downloads by itself (0.85 GB).
- Settings › Assistant lists Linda's recommended assistants first, then More assistants: every other open assistant that can use Linda's tools, searchable, each with whether it runs well on this Mac.
- Chat follows the answer only while you're at the bottom (Jump to Latest when you scroll up), new words fade in, and each reply ends with its speed. While it works you see “Reading 5.5K tokens · 40%” and “Writing · 420 tokens”; Stop and Esc stop it at once.
- Results: click a file to preview it, open it in its app with one button, and save it right on the card.
- Deleting a task deletes its files, and Linda opens on a new task.
- Files a task makes with a command are always saved in its folder, shown in the side panel even before the first one.
0.2.5 2 October 2026
- The assistant on your Mac recovers by itself if it stops mid-task, instead of failing the task.
- Long requests show how far the reading is: “Reading 2.2K tokens · 70%”.
- Browser steps on your Mac no longer make the assistant read the whole conversation again.
- Skills are matched by their words, ignoring common ones; answers keep what was found earlier.
0.2.4 1 October 2026
- Apps & Skills in one popover in the message bar: switch connected apps on or off, search for a skill, or type /skill-name.
- Research helpers look things up in a fresh conversation and bring back a short note with links, so the task stays small.
- Loop guards: a repeated look-up isn't run again, and a task going in circles ends with a note.
- Online assistants that can't turn thinking off use low thinking instead of their default, so replies come faster.
- Answers no longer stop halfway on screen; the working line shimmers while Linda works.
0.2.3 1 October 2026
- Long web pages are read by the parts that matter, sized to the assistant's conversation length.
- OpenRouter: when its web search fails for a model's provider, Linda retries with another search, so online tasks don't stop with “error 400”.
- Switching to an assistant of another family starts a new task; within a family the conversation carries on.
0.2.2 1 October 2026
- Text size: Settings › Appearance, or ⌘+ and ⌘− (⌘0 resets).
- Progress while the assistant writes a file, and repeated look-ups shown as one line where they happened.
0.2.1 1 October 2026
- Linda's own web search and page reading for every assistant, online or on your Mac, without opening the browser.
- A conversation ring in the message bar shows how full the conversation is, in tokens, with a breakdown.
- Connected apps' tools are found when a step needs them, so the fixed tool list stays small and replies start sooner.
- Chrome extension 1.2 no longer asks for the tabs permission.
0.2.0 1 October 2026
- Assistants on your Mac run inside Linda: nothing else to install, the right build picked for your chip and memory.
- Each assistant on your Mac has its own conversation length, set by its memory or by you in Settings › Assistant › Advanced.
- Gemma 4 26B joins the list.
- Quick browser decisions run inside Linda.
- Mac Apps can't hang a task (45 seconds at most per call); Linda's browser never offers to save passwords and lets sites download several files.
0.1.9 1 October 2026
- Mac Apps reconnects by itself when its link to your apps goes stale, so Outlook and other apps are found again.
0.1.8 30 September 2026
- Mac Apps: Linda works in Outlook, Teams, Numbers, Pages, Notes and other apps on your Mac, in the background.
- Sending, deleting and posting in apps always ask; Linda never types into password fields.
- Tool calls from Gemma 4 on your Mac arrive intact.
0.1.7 30 September 2026
- Answers stream smoothly, word by word, and no longer flash when they finish.
- Pick the assistant and its thinking level from the message bar; open the thinking to watch it live.
- Each task and project keeps its own files; the assistant on your Mac is ready as soon as you switch to Linda.
0.1.6 30 September 2026
- System One quick decisions for the browser, inside Linda or with Ollama 0.35.
- Dictation in every message bar, heard and tidied on your Mac.
- Memory keeps only your words: Remember opens an editable draft.
0.1.5 29 September 2026
- Updates from the sidebar: Update and Restart, and Settings › About.
- Linda in Italian, Spanish and French.
- The assistant on your Mac is recommended from your real chip and memory.
0.1.4 29 September 2026
- Projects: tasks that share one folder, and “Work in a project” in the message bar.
0.1.3 29 September 2026
- First notarized build, published to download.getlinda.app.
0.1.2 29 September 2026
- Secrets move to the data protection keychain: no password prompts.
0.1.1 29 September 2026
- First release: a DMG with Linda's mascot, and no Keychain prompt at launch.
